Okay, just to let you know, this is a BIG BITCH SESSION about how UNREALISTIC our local government is and how DESPERATE our local cops are to give tickets MANDATED by the local government for more money for the county.

Just a little background on this situation, I just moved back in to my condo, which I had as a rental for a few years. The economy has finally caught up to me and my clients either are not paying or not requesting work done. So my money had dwindled to nothing, INCLUDING and NOT helping that fact that I was so desperate to get things fixed in my condo, I rented a room in lieu of rent for 4 months, just to get my kitchen, bedroom, and odds and ends in the place fixed. I did this because I didn't have either the money or the time to shell out or supervise work done.

THE MEAT
I was driving to work on Sunday morning around 8am, normally I have the weekends off for my W-2 job, but needed to finish some items. Besides I didn't have any web or SEO clients calling and I was already done for the week doing my negotiations for the two short sales I was doing (which both fell through, but that's another bitch session). So this Sunday morning, trying to get some more hours in and take the stress off, a COP pulls me over and gives me a lecture on not having a front license plate.....REALLY?!! "Kind of a slow morning for you officer, the city of La Mesa that broke, I notices extra pot holes in this road this morning". He fires back, "Well I could write you up for those tinted windows too." OMG, really, WHAT AN ASSHOLE....The Windows have the LIGHTEST TINT possible on a car AND it was done before I bought it. Besides Factory tint is darker! Where is the sensibility in his statement? What he just trying to be an ASS?

So today is December 10th, 2009, I had to pay $1906.65 for my property taxes AND that's only 1 payment of 50%, the other half, just as much due on April 10th or something of 2010. Anyway I figure I will head across the street after paying my taxes and take care of the over due ticket, OH WHICH BTW was a BS ticket because I explained to the officer WHEN I was pulled over that my license plate was RIGHT HERE IN MY FRONT SEAT, because I found it dangling by 1 screw, not more than 15 minutes earlier and that screw was 1/2 backed out... was someone just trying to take my plate? Maybe, I mean it is possible for the screws to back out, but it has NEVER happened to me in 20+ years of driving.

So here I am at the downtown El Cajon Court house, license plate in hand, over due citation in hand, why, cause when you work 12-15 hours a day its HARD TO FIND A COP unless you drive like ALL THOSE ASSES out on the road....oh wait, apparently there is a shortage of cops lately too....case the ASS driver to Cop ratio is something like 3000 to 1/2. I say 1/2 because 7 out of 10 cops I have dealt with, I would be BLOWN away if they have anything higher than a GED, High School Education and that chip on their shoulder no matter HOW NICE you are to them.

AT the court house, a nice Sheriff (why are they always nice and cops and CHP's always have attitudes?), the nice Sheriff says "Where are you going with that plate?", I said, "I have an over due citation for missing a front plate and couldn't find an officer for the past 2 months to sign it off, so I took a picture of it and am bringing it in with all the fresh bugs to get this dismissed.". The nice Sheriff, informed me that the ticket is for not having it mounted, it doesn't matter if you have it or not, since it is NOT mounted or displayed in a fixed position. He further stated that, even if I have a picture, the court still requires it to be signed off by an officer. He suggested I mount the plate and then come back in to get an officer to sign it off.

Okay, yea sure, got all the time in the world to do this on my lunch time, but I need to get it done, so I follow the officers advise and go back in to the court house. I ask the female officer standing there if I can get one of the 4 other Sheriff's standing about to come sign this off. I WAS ONLY THEN INFORMED that I would have to go upstairs to the Sheriff's office, PAY $15.00 to have an officer step outside, for what is essentially a BREAK for him/her just to 'witness and sign off' my citation. REALLY and HOW is a PICTURE any Different?

Well I was pretty pissed off right there and almost started to make s scene when I yelled back. "THAT WAS SO NICE of the other officer to LEAVE that tid bit of advice of the charge OUT of our CONVERSATION!".

It was at that point the other 4 Sheriff's enjoying their coffee, 2 of them sitting on their asses, got up and started heading my way. Which THANK GOD I have GREAT peripheral vision and noticed and I turned and high tailed it out of the court house.

So in Summary, I just gave the COUNTY $1906.65 in TAXES, for my condo that dropped in value $200k, I have pot holes on EVERY ROAD I drive and a MESSED up alignment now due to them and they want another $15.00 for a FUCKING SIGNATURE?

HEY COPS!!! COME TO MY WORK and sign my paper and take my CHECK, remember the OATH YOU SWORE TO? SERVE AND PROTECT, NOT HARASS and PLACATE.

I have 3 JOB's, 3 kids, behind in my mortgage, and 4 credit cards calling me every 15minutes for payment. SCREW YOU ALL!!! I am just TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING and I played by your rules. STOP the NAZI's SERVICE to the PUBLIC!

COUNTY
FIX THE FUCKING POT HOLES with the PRISONERS my TAX DOLLARS GO TO so they have a nice warm bed, no responsibilities and cable TV. I haven't seen my TV in MONTHS!!!
