About Me
So you want to know a bit about me?
I will say I am a believer in the statement "people go to school to get jobs, those that are self educated have interesting careers." UM No I don't remember where I heard that, suffices to say I learn something new just about every day, however I do have a Masters degree (Résumé) just in case. But the secret is, I got my high GPA, not from studying hard to pass a class, but studying what I am interested in daily for many years before I went to school. It still amazes me when you have an open mind just how many systems work together. My passions led me persue a degree of my hobby, something I loved to do, it allowed me to fly through college, while gaining valuable experience as a mentor to many of my classmates.
So what do I do?
I am a system analyst for a Pharmacy. A What for a what??!!! "Do they need system analysts?" Technically, no, however I fit the System analyst job description (below) and when you boil it down I am a Jack of all trades, I know a little bit about a lot of things. I work outside the box in both thinking and doing my various job functions, most days of the week.
System Analyst Job Description
Computer systems analysts solve computer problems and apply computer technology to meet the individual needs of an organization. They help an organization to realize the maximum benefit from its investment in equipment, personnel, and business processes. Systems analysts may plan and develop new computer systems or devise ways to apply existing systems resources to additional operations. They may design new systems, including both hardware and software, or add a new software application to harness more of the computers power. Most systems analysts work with specific types of systems—for example, business, accounting, or financial systems, or scientific and engineering systems—that vary with the kind of organization. Some systems analysts also are known as systems developers or systems architects.
Employers generally prefer applicants who have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or management information systems (MIS).
Employment is expected to grow much faster than the average for all occupations, with an increase of 29% expected between 2006 and 2016. | Source:InsideTech.com
Why did I get involved with PrePaid Legal?
Well about 15 years ago I was approached by a good friends mom I have known since I was in 5 grade. I was young footloose and fancy free with little to no debt and didn't see the value in "Legal Insurance".
10 years ago I was approached again, by a friend, while I had accumulate some debt, my goal was almost complete in saving for a house, which I bought in 2002.
5 years ago I was approached again bike a fellow sport bike enthusiast, I wish I could track him down now, he was a really nice guy, but he disappeared off the planet.
Last January 2008, my brother Peter asked me to come over to his house for a business presentation. I asked if it was PrePaid Legal, he said yes, I said I am not interested. Yet 3 months later I shut him up by going to a business briefing and then found myself wanting to shoot myself for NOT getting involved with PrePaid Legal 15 years ago with my best friend’s mom.
That brings me to the current day (Feb 2009). I am a Manager in PrePaid legal now, go figure. I just took people from not knowing about our services to knowing about them....I am NOT a sales or marketing person, although the past year I have been studying to understand those types of people, not to become one. The product and services sell themselves, because they are that good; our company has been on the NYSE for well over a decade now. So for those of you who think this is a Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme, I would say, Do you understand how a company must operate to get INVITED to the NYSE?
I could waste an entire week or so 'blogging' about various schemes and how those that are not educated in them don't understand them and yet like to associate them with PrePaid Legal. Did I mention that the average intelligence in America is a 6th grade education....shameful, BUT YET those people do very well with PrePaid Legal, go figure. (see this video for evidence)
Back on topic about why I joined PrePaid Legal other than I was approached 4 times and the last being a blood relative that opened my eyes. It was recently that I found out that Mr. Jeff Olson (my write up on him) (his SlightEdge Philosophy) who owned The Peoples Network(TPN), got a call from Mr. Harland Stonecipher (PrePaid Legals Founder) to have lunch. Okay this is not news if you have been to a business briefing, HOWEVER, my Executive Director Dr. Larry Gilbert was friends with Mr. Olson and a member of TPN. Not only do Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert know Mr. Olson well, but they know and associate with many people who are on the almost starting front line of the life that began PrePaid Legal. So I am rather proud to say I can rub elbows with some very wealthy people. That is not to say I enjoy being around them for their monetary value, but their wisdom. These people are just GREAT people to have as mentors and that is why I stayed with PrePaid Legal and stuck it out for the first year.
So why do I stay again?
One of Jeff Olson's Core commitments (there is only 10 very simple ones) is core commitment number 8: Personal Development. Why Personal Development, well when you become successful with PrePaid Legal, you can get overwhelmed by those wanting to know your secret. Personal development helps in these stressful situations, it also is a gateway to further learning about wealth, because face it, once you start making $10k a month PASSIVELY, you need deduction or the current administration will redistribute your wealth (no I am not an Obama supporter). By taking the time to invest in yourself through personal development you gain the knowledge to have your money work for you and to know how use it to help others.
Do I want you to sign up with PrePaid Legal?
This page is about me, not what I want from you. I am sharing just part of my story. If your interested, Great, if you are not, Great. It doesn't matter to me.
